Buddy has decided to depart from the show to take on the role of Head Writer for another series. However, Mel is unable to let Buddy go from his contract. In an effort to resolve this, he collaborates with Rob and Sally to draft a memo aimed at convincing Alan to terminate Buddy's employment.
