A group of Galactic Gladiators lands on the planet and issues a challenge to Professor Robinson to engage in a duel that will be broadcast across the galaxy. John refuses, expressing his lack of interest in physical confrontation. Seizing the opportunity, Dr. Smith accepts the challenge, bargaining that if he triumphs, he will be sent back to Earth. However, he is unaware that a loss, which is highly likely, would spell doom for their home planet.
