Episode Overview

Katie is thrilled when Nicky invites her to the upcoming Fall Formal dance. Maria's date’s dad, Paul Wilson, a prominent record producer, will be chaperoning, and Ryan is eager to showcase Eric and his brothers at the dance. Meanwhile, Maria and Rachel are buzzing with excitement over their new dresses, but Katie feels embarrassed since her family can't afford one for her this year. Fortunately, Mrs. Peterson helps by altering a dress from Katie’s sister. Ryan sabotages the Bayside Barbershop Quartet, who were set to perform, so Mr. Belding can hear Eric and his brothers, and he hires them immediately. Katie worries about wearing an old dress and decides to make some money by fixing the broken air conditioner for Mr. Belding. Although she and Nicky manage to repair it, it ends up blowing up, leading Katie to come clean to Screech.
