However, when he pretends to be interested in French culture just to impress her, he nearly risks their budding connection. Meanwhile, Liz fears that Ryan is developing feelings for a female photographer. In retaliation, she decides to date another guy. When this guy starts to flirt with her excessively, Ryan shows up just in time to intervene.
