Monica is thrilled to be assigned to her cherished Ireland, the place where she first experienced life. Her mission involves a group of teens from Northern Ireland, whom she aims to convince to join the Project Children program in the United States. This diverse group includes both Catholics and Protestants, long-time rivals embroiled in a violent conflict. While a recent peace treaty offers hope, the success of this peace hinges on the younger generation. During her interviews, Monica uncovers deep-rooted bitterness and prejudice on both sides. She believes that two specific teens, Tommy, a Catholic, and Rose, a Protestant, could inspire others towards reconciliation. Encouraged by his admired brother Gavin, Tommy is motivated to embrace the journey to America. However, upon arrival, the teens grapple with their entrenched biases, making it difficult for them to let go of their animosities.
