To prevent the Literary Club's gambling den from being shut down, Aoi Mibuomi (Sano Hayato), the student council treasurer, instructs Mary to compete against a chosen rival. That rival is Nagi Kamishimo (Atsuhiro Inukai), a highly skilled and intimidating gambler known for his ability to read opponents. Nagi's cocky demeanor sets the tone as Mary prepares for the challenge. They engage in a game of "Full Count Blackjack," a complex variant that uses 13 cards and requires sharp psychological strategies. "I'll crush your spirit," Nagi taunts early on.
