Episode Overview

The Metropolitan Police launch a new division known as UCOS, which stands for Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad, to tackle cold cases. Under the leadership of Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman, the team consists of retired officers Jack Halford, Brian Lane, and Gerry Standing. Their inaugural case involves the murder of a nightclub hostess. After serving two decades for the crime, the man convicted of her murder is exonerated on appeal, maintaining his innocence all along. As the investigation unfolds, they uncover evidence of his guilt in another murder, ultimately revealing that his wife was the true culprit behind the nightclub hostess's death, driven by jealousy.
