S06E08 Meat Is Murder
Episode Overview
As the series nears its conclusion, the long-missing body of a butcher, meticulously dismembered, is uncovered after more than three decades. This prompts Sandra Pullman and her team to revisit the Smithfield meat market in London, the site of the original crime. It's unfortunate that the butcher can't provide answers regarding the mysterious death of a doctor found hanging from a meat hook at his stall so many years ago. The episode is filled with surprises, including Gerry Standing's intriguing heritage as a descendant of French Huguenots, earning him playful mockery from his colleagues for being a "fake cockney." Meanwhile, Sandra confronts a shocking personal revelation that impacts the case and sheds new light on her father's past, leaving Gerry, Brian, and Jack utterly speechless.
