Sandra receives a call from her former lover, DCI Larson, who leads the Metropolitan Police's arts and antiques division. He requests the team's assistance in reopening the case of Mal Baxter, an antiques dealer whose murder was initially believed to stem from a botched burglary. However, fresh evidence has emerged indicating that Baxter was secretly working as a police informant while engaging in shady transactions.
