Giles faces the consequences of his youthful indiscretions when a demon he and Ethan Rayne once conjured resurfaces in Sunnydale, intent on settling old scores. As the sinister entity wreaks havoc, Giles must confront his former friend and the dark choices they made together. With time running out, he teams up with Buffy and the rest of the gang to confront this formidable threat from his past, forcing him to reckon with the shadows that have returned to challenge him.
