Uncle Jesse suffers a severe injury while the distressed Duke family head discovers that bounty hunter Jason Steele is actually a fugitive. Steele cleverly sets up Bo and Luke, making it appear as though they stole a Dodge Charger that looks just like the General Lee. Meanwhile, Hosiah Coltrane's lawyer delivers shocking news to Rosco, revealing that he only inherited $10 instead of the expected $100,000 to pay Steele. When Steele finds out Rosco can't meet the payment, he erupts in anger, escalating the situation further.
