As Rosco prepares for his re-election campaign, Boss initially backs him without hesitation. However, things take a turn when Boss's scheming nephew, Hughie Hogg, reappears with ambitions to become sheriff. To secure his uncle's assistance, Hughie resorts to blackmail, threatening to expose a shady deal Boss had made in the past.
