Oz returns to Newcastle only to discover that his wife Marjorie has left and someone else has taken over his apartment. He heads to his son Rod's school, where he waits for him to finish classes. There, he learns that Marjorie is now in a relationship with an Italian man named Sandro and intends to relocate to Italy, taking Rod along with her.
