After a plumbing disaster forces them out of their home, Madeline and her friends take refuge in Lord Cucuface's opulent suite at the Ritz. During their stay, they befriend a lonely wealthy girl and a starving homeless girl. As they bond, the girls realize that the warmth of friendship and love far outweighs the allure of a superficial, extravagant lifestyle.
