For her birthday, Madeline receives a brand-new pair of ice skates, and she quickly becomes consumed by her desire to improve her skating skills. As a result, she neglects her friends and their playtime together. One day, while being pulled out from under a blanket, Madeline twirls around like the Tasmanian Devil for a moment before struggling to steady herself and find her footing again.
