After recapping the previous episode, Brandi urges her mother to abandon the pursuit following a recent dead end. Local authorities reveal that Hatfield perished in a car accident years earlier. Meanwhile, Tiny arrives in Arizona to bail out Ricky, humorously handcuffing him to his car door. Rango grows frustrated with Maria after she reveals his plans on live television, leading him to abandon her and her crew. The Thorsons head back to El Monte, seeking insight from insurance investigator Edward Conklin, with Dottie attempting to persuade him to share crucial information that could salvage his tarnished reputation.
