Episode Overview
In this episode, incident manager Steve and his crew are dispatched to a lorry ablaze on the heavily trafficked A1. When Steve arrives, the fire has already been extinguished, and Callum has managed to pull the tractor unit onto a low loader. However, they still face the daunting task of lifting the remnants of the trailer onto another low loader. As they position a crane, Dave spots smoldering ash on the trailer, which poses a serious risk if the wind picks up. To mitigate this danger, they decide to dump the remaining cargo onto the road for safety. Afterward, they focus on the lift, but the trailer’s severe fire damage means they must be extremely careful to prevent it from collapsing during the recovery. Meanwhile, Lantern boys Daniel and Steve are called to assist with a trailer that has been heavily impacted by a branch from an overhanging tree.
