After being captivated by a stunning gospel singer at a wedding, Deacon Frye sets out to charm her into joining the church choir. He showers her with compliments and treats her to lavish dinners in hopes of persuading her. However, his scheme takes an unexpected turn when the attention he gives her leads her to develop feelings for him, believing he has romantic intentions. Frustrated and unsure how to handle the situation, Deacon finally decides to come clean, not realizing the potential fury of a woman whose heart he has unintentionally captured.
