Episode Overview
After a woman is car-jacked, the thief abandons her baby on the steps of the First Community Church. Thelma, who has no children of her own, decides to become the baby’s foster mother, despite resistance from the deacon and the Reverend. As time passes, the child begins to change the deacon's mind about the situation. Ultimately, Thelma is resolved to keep the baby—until the child's mother arrives unexpectedly. Meanwhile, Deacon Frye finds himself facing a tax audit and discovers he owes a significant amount to the IRS.
