True Colours (2022)

Episode Overview

In the high-altitude cloudforest ravine of La Paz River near Vara Blanca, Costa Rica, the crater lake of Poas Volcano cascades down from 9,000 feet. As we make our way down a series of five stunning waterfalls, the sun begins to rise. Sunbeams illuminate the mist created by the falling water, while vibrant green vegetation clings to the damp cliff sides. As the day warms, an owl butterfly emerges from its pupa, filling its delicate wings with fluid. Finally, through the last rocky passage, the water and sunlight burst forth, leading to the serene La Paz waterfall pool.
