Episode Overview
At a Mommy and Me event, Kim befriends Andrea and whimsically decides that her husband, Alan, should become Greg's new buddy. Greg reluctantly attends dinner to meet Alan, who greets him with indifference. After expressing his frustration to Kim about Alan's cold demeanor, she reminds him that he used to treat others that way. Anxious that Alan perceives him as friendless, Greg learns that Kim invited Alan and Andrea over to return the favor. Seizing the moment, Greg tells Alan he has no interest in being friends either. They bond over shared grievances about their wives' matchmaking. However, once Alan and Andrea leave, Greg discovers that Kim is fed up with Andrea's comments and no longer wants to pursue their friendship.
