Kim and Christine are excitedly organizing a surprise party for their grandmother Nan's 80th birthday, expecting the entire Ludke family to join. Meanwhile, Greg is thrilled about receiving a VIP ticket to the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans, but the date clashes with the celebration. Frustrated, Kim tries to persuade him to forfeit the ticket. When Greg manages to score a second ticket, he offers it to Jimmy, ensuring he won't be the only one missing the party. Christine reacts similarly to Kim, and both men assert their plans to attend the game. However, overwhelmed by Kim's guilt trip, Greg reluctantly hands his extra ticket to Jimmy. As Jenny arrives with Grandma Nan and their aunt Millie, Greg is annoyed to learn their uncles opted to watch the game at home instead. In a twist, Jimmy gives Billy Greg's ticket, leading them to meet sportscaster Jim Nantz, who will be covering the event.
