Episode Overview
Kim plans a playdate with one of Sam's friends, but her plans take an unexpected turn when the girl's mom, Jessica, arrives with her elderly nanny, Sylvia, in tow. Initially annoyed by the uninvited addition, Kim brushes Sylvia off, but when they finally talk, Sylvia reveals that Jessica constantly berates her, leaving her too scared to stand up for herself. After witnessing Jessica's harsh treatment when she returns, Kim confronts her and offers Sylvia a job. However, it's soon clear that Sylvia's skills are lacking, and though Kim feels sorry for her, she hesitates to let her go, especially after learning of Sylvia’s troubled history with other families. Meanwhile, Jimmy's gift of a robotic dog for Dominic goes hilariously wrong when he accidentally breaks it.
