Midsomer Murders (1997)
S11E01 Shot at Dawn
Episode Overview
Ninety years post-WWI, the animosity between the Hammond and Hicks families remains unresolved. Colonel Henry Hammond is outraged when Private Tommy Hicks, previously branded a coward, is cleared of his charges and honored on the local war memorial. Meanwhile, Barnaby finds himself in a foul mood; his roof is leaking, and a quiet dinner with Joyce at the local pub is shattered when he must intervene in a comical brawl between the elderly heads of the Hicks and Hammond families, who, despite being in wheelchairs, hilariously wage war with baguettes!
