Episode Overview
In the dead of night, Eric frantically calls Chris for help. When Chris arrives, he witnesses Eric being shot fatally and immediately chases after the assailants as they flee in a car. However, upon his return to the scene, Eric’s body has mysteriously vanished. The following morning, Special Agent Pete Santos from the BATF visits the captain's office, revealing to Chris and Rita that Eric was involved in arms dealing with a cartel led by Lena Correll. He also discloses that Eric was connected to Johnny Almendarez, the man Chris saw shoot him. Although Rita is overwhelmed with grief, she is determined to find Eric’s killer and insists on joining Chris in the investigation. Meanwhile, she grapples with the possibility that she might be pregnant with Eric’s child.
