Episode Overview
Chris is eager to join the popular kids for an afternoon basketball game. Just as he’s about to showcase his Quantum Corkscrew jump shot, Joy bursts in, thrilled to share that she’s been elected as the Chess Club President. Concerned about how "uncool" that sounds to the guys he wants to impress, Chris pretends he doesn’t know her. Gizmo soon arrives with Chris' sneakers, but instead of hitting the court, Superbook transports the group back in time to meet the disciple Peter, who famously denies Jesus three times. After witnessing the risen Jesus forgive Peter by the shores of Galilee, Chris reflects on his own fear-driven actions and realizes he should have embraced Joy’s friendship. Back in the present, he chooses to skip the game and celebrates Joy’s achievement with his true friends.
