Episode Overview
Title: The Widow's Mite Plot: Chris has been diligently saving his allowance and earnings from mowing lawns to buy a high-end telescope. At the same time, the church youth group is organizing a food drive. Torn between donating to the cause or purchasing the telescope, Chris finds himself in a dilemma. Superbook transports Chris, Joy, and Gizmo to the Jerusalem Temple, where they encounter Jesus teaching alongside His disciples. They witness a widow offer two mites to the temple treasury, her entire livelihood. Jesus highlights that her sacrifice surpasses the contributions of wealthy donors who only gave a fraction of their wealth. This inspires Chris to reconsider his views on giving. Back home, he struggles with his choice but ultimately decides to follow the widow's example, joyfully donating all his savings to the church mission.
