Episode Overview

The TARDIS suffers a complete power outage, leaving the Doctor and companions stranded in 13th century Himalayas. To survive, they align themselves with the renowned explorer Marco Polo, who becomes intrigued by their extraordinary vessel's potential for flight. In a bid to win favor with Kublai Khan and secure his return to Venice, Polo takes the TARDIS as a gift for the Khan. The group must now embark on a challenging journey across Asia to the Khan's court, where their efforts to reclaim the TARDIS are thwarted not only by Polo but also by the enigmatic warlord Tegana, who has secretive ambitions regarding Kublai Khan.
