Episode Overview
The Doctor and Romana are taken to the tower to meet the ruling leaders, seeking explanations for the peculiar backward evolution of this society. Upon arrival, the Doctor realizes the tower is actually an ancient spaceship from Earth and discovers that the supposedly empty fuel tanks are, in fact, filled with blood. At the same time, Councilor Aukon notices Adric's potential and chooses him as their first "Chosen One."
