In the distant future of deep space, Turlough continues to obey the Black Guardian's commands by sabotaging the TARDIS, which leads to an unexpected emergency fusion with an abandoned starship. Unbeknownst to them, this vessel is en route to the infamous plague colony known as Terminus. As they navigate a world teeming with plague victims and space pirates, the Doctor seems oblivious to the real danger looming over them—a peril intrinsically linked to Terminus's unique location at the very heart of the universe.
