An anti-matter entity threatens to breach the universe via the Doctor, endangering all existence, leaving the High Council of Time Lords with no choice but to condemn the Doctor to death. In the meantime, Tegan finds herself in Amsterdam, where she learns from a friend who escaped unharmed about the fate of her cousin.
