Episode Overview
Monica forms a friendship with Kate Prescott, whose son is facing accusations of a horrific murder. In his fury over Thomas's acquittal, Leonard Page, the father of the victim, seeks to drive the Prescott family out of town. Despite Tess's advice to let divine justice take its course, Leonard refuses to heed her words, even as Kate pleads for him to end his vendetta. When Kate finds some of the victim's belongings in Thomas's room, her faith in his innocence falters, leading her to make a statement to the media. Thomas then decides to leave town. However, when the real killer is caught, Kate is left heartbroken by her betrayal. Monica reveals to her that her mistake was relying on evidence instead of faith. Meanwhile, Tess returns to the Page household, encouraging Leonard to allow healing to begin. Afterward, Monica wonders about the future of Kate's son, and Tess reveals that Mrs. Angeli, the compassionate bus driver who supported Kate during the
