Episode Overview

On Halloween night, Monica, Tess, and Andrew find themselves in the midst of a spiritual struggle at Mercy Hospital in Salt Lake City. They receive Lonnie, a troubled and suicidal homeless man who often finds himself in the ER. Duncan, the ER chief and Lonnie's childhood friend, has diagnosed him with Multiple Personality Disorder. When Andrew tries to console Lonnie, he suddenly becomes coherent, introducing himself as "Gregory" and recognizing Andrew as an angel. Seeking clarity, Andrew turns to Tess, who recounts Lonnie's past. Years ago, she taught Lonnie and Duncan in Sunday School about the power of faith, using a mustard seed as a symbol. Despite facing an abusive home, Lonnie held onto that seed of faith, but a Halloween prank led to a devastating house fire. Monica then continues the story...
