Episode Overview

Reggie Hunter possesses a beautiful singing voice and a supportive family, yet he hasn’t found the bravery to sing for over 25 years. Instead, he works as a janitor at his old high school, despite once auditioning for Berry Gordy of Motown Records. Every Sunday, he enjoys dinner with his Aunt Charlotte, brother Martin, and sister Eleanor, a cherished family tradition they have maintained, only missing once for their parents' funeral. This Sunday, the news of Aunt Charlotte's upcoming retirement unsettles Reggie, as her presence at the school is his only comfort. Distressed, he leaves the dinner table. The next day, he reluctantly returns to work, training a new janitor named Andrew, while Martin hires Monica as a loan officer at Detroit Metro Bank.
