Set in 1945, Colonel Layton returns home after his release from a prison camp. Sarah visits Barbie in the hospital before heading to Bombay to greet him. Meanwhile, Sergeant Guy Perron from Military Intelligence finds himself entangled in a complex scheme orchestrated by Major Ronald Merrick, aimed at exposing traitors and ensnaring the Laytons. During a peculiar gathering, Guy expands his connections, leading to unforeseen repercussions.
