As Loren is hurried into the operating room for an emergency C-section, Alex does his best to keep her spirits up, making her laugh even as she cries. Baby Boten arrives nearly four weeks early, but instead of being handed to his parents, he’s taken straight to the NICU, which leaves both Loren and Alex feeling anxious and heartbroken.
