The Huangs' plan to forgo Thanksgiving is short-lived when Louis decides to play matchmaker by inviting Grandma's ESL teacher, Bernard, after witnessing their chemistry in class. Jessica is pleasantly surprised when Grandma Huang volunteers to prepare the entire feast as a gesture of gratitude. Meanwhile, in an attempt to demonstrate his maturity, Evan allows Eddie and Emery to sneak him into his very first R-rated movie.
