Following a car crash, Earl falls into a coma and enters a surreal sitcom-like alternate reality. Meanwhile, his friends rally to save him. Desperate for a solution, Randy seeks out a former child faith healer. However, the healer reveals he has stopped using his powers after witnessing the negative impact of Earl's lifestyle following their previous encounter.
