Clarissa is thrilled to be selected as the understudy for the main role in the school play, viewing it as an effortless opportunity. However, her excitement quickly turns to panic when the lead performer develops a sore throat on opening night. In an attempt to assist her, Ferguson offers to help Clarissa with her lines, but instead, he mischievously has her memorizing lines from various other plays.
