Xia Yu Fan guides Sousuke to Gauron while she heads off to confront Clouseau, Melissa, and Kurz in Hong Kong, where tensions between Northern and Southern China are escalating. Severely injured and on the brink of death, Gauron reveals the dark truths about Amalgam, taunting Sousuke by claiming he was responsible for Kaname's death, suggesting it had made him weak. Filled with rage, Sousuke kills Gauron and barely escapes the building just as a bomb detonates beneath him. Meanwhile, Gates and his Amalgam team arrive with plans to eliminate Xia Yu Fan. In defiance of Mithril’s orders, Tessa activates the Arbalest.
