Highway to Heaven (1984)

Episode Overview

Bill Cassidy plays the ideal father figure on the popular show "That's Our Dad," known for its heartwarming conclusion where he "adopts" two orphaned children each episode. However, off-camera, Bill is quite the opposite—selfish and abusive to both his co-stars and the crew, including the children he supposedly cares for. Things take a turn when two young fans of the show, inspired by Bill's on-screen persona, seek him out in hopes of being adopted. When Bill coldly dismisses them and tells them to leave, the kids turn to Jonathan and Mark for assistance in confronting Bill and helping him change his ways.
