Episode Overview
During the holiday season, Jonathan and Mark's new task is to help two feuding divorced parents who are using their son as leverage against each other to reconnect and embrace their roles as parents. They start by teaming up with the father, a lawyer. While at a department store, the new Santa becomes outraged over the store's promotion of toy guns. When the boy reveals his wish list, Santa expresses uncertainty about fulfilling it. After a loud outburst, he gets thrown out of the store. Later, he returns and is arrested. Jonathan offers to represent him, and the boy's father sees this as a chance to retaliate against his ex-wife, who works as the store's legal counsel. In jail, the Santa brings joy to those around him, including a guard. Mark wonders why he doesn't just escape if he truly embodies “the Claus,” but Santa declines, believing it would send the wrong message to children.
