Emergency Drills: Ned is determined to invite Suzie to Chandra Taylor's party, but each time he tries, an emergency drill interrupts him. Finally, he manages to ask Suzie, who agrees to go. Unfortunately, Ned, along with Cookie and Moze, ends up stuck in Gordy's extra supply locker and misses the party. Late Bus: When bus number 9 malfunctions, all the students find themselves stranded, waiting for a replacement. Loomer strikes a bargain with Ned, promising to leave him alone for a year if Ned helps him win Moze's affection. Meanwhile, Cookie organizes a "Cookie's Late Bus After School Tour," revealing quirky teacher habits, including Coach Dirga sobbing over a soap opera and a cringe-inducing rap group led by Lil' Romeo.
