While Earp and Sheriff Bassett are away, the George Morris gang seizes the opportunity to take control of Dodge City. Although they manage to gain the upper hand, Bat narrowly escapes their clutches to warn Earp. The two of them then make the decision to head back to Dodge City by themselves, but the situation looks bleak as they face overwhelming odds.
