Tombstone, like many mining towns in the West, attracted individuals from all corners of the globe. Among its diverse inhabitants, a significant number were Chinese immigrants. Several hundred of these newcomers, many of whom spoke little to no English, had just arrived from China. With such a sizable community settling in, it was only natural for complications to arise for Wyatt Earp.
