Episode Overview
The city is on edge as it awaits Heather Taffet, infamously known as "The Gravedigger," for her final appeal after being sentenced to death for a horrific kidnapping and murder, along with several other brutal crimes. When a distant bullet strikes her, the Jeffersonian team must determine the sniper's location and uncover the shooter’s identity and motives. With the assistance of sharp investigator Caroline Julian, Booth and Brennan compile a list of potential suspects. However, the skill involved in the shooting suggests it may have been orchestrated by someone on the inside, with Max, Brennan's father, and even Booth becoming possible suspects. Meanwhile, Sweets struggles to maintain his composure after a tense interaction with The Gravedigger just before the chaos erupted.
