Upon discovering the contents of the jikgeumdo, Hwan and Han Jung-eon are left in disbelief, while Jae-yi is taken into custody for murder. Hwan's shock deepens when Jae-yi confesses to the crime. Jo Won-bo insists that the Crown Prince should be removed from his position. In the meantime, Seong-on receives a covert directive from the Queen.
