Birkhoff receives a lead from Shadowbot indicating that Ari is in New York, prompting Nikita and Owen to rush in and retrieve him before the FBI can intervene. Once captured, Ari reveals that he orchestrated the situation to have a conversation with Nikita. He warns her that Amanda has crossed a line, collaborating with a terrorist planning an attack on U.S. soil. In exchange for crucial information on the terrorist, Ari demands fifty million dollars. Nikita and Michael are taken aback when Ryan considers meeting Ari's financial demand. Meanwhile, Sean grapples with jealousy over Alex's bond with Owen.
