Petey devises a clever diversion, granting the girls another chance to flee Silverthorn. Upon returning home, Jenny's mother, Irene, prepares for a date with none other than Mr. James Rooney. As the girls recount their adventure involving the capsule to Irene, James arrives, prompting her to reveal the truth about Alana. Inspired, James proposes featuring their story on the program 'Newsprobe.' However, during an interview that frustrates Alana, Silverthorn intervenes and makes off with the transducer.
