Meanwhile, our master carpenter shares insights on the complexities of waterproofing and venting the shallow pitch of the shed roof. In the master suite, Dickie Silva is busy fastening the floor deck using an automatic-feed screw gun. After exploring the master bath and new common areas on the second floor, homeowner Terry Maitland meets with the lead abatement contractor to discuss the treatment of the old woodwork during the deleading. The master carpenter cautions Terry about the importance of carefully removing the old windows to protect the interior plaster and exterior siding. Lastly, Richard Trethewey checks out an old water well found on the property that, if equipped with a proper pump, could provide irrigation for the yard.
